The Three ways to display events:
1 - Full Width Event List: displays event titles across the whole content page
2 - Narrow Event List: displays event titles on about 30% of the content page
3 - Featured Events page: displays a pictures, title, short summary, and date details.
To Add an Events Widget:
1 - Open your homepage in Jadu
2 - Pick the place you want to add your event widget. You might need to add another row if you are using the full width or feature event lists.
** to add another row, go to the left and click the blue plus button **
3 - Under Widgets, there are the three event widgets. Drag the events widget where you want to add it.
4 - Click the wrench button on the event widget.
5 - Give a title to the Event List. Add some text or detail if you wish.
6 - Select the category; This will the name of your office or the name of your website.
ex: Campus Directory -> Offices -> Web Services
**The category is important because it links the event to the event list.
7 - Choose the number of events you want to display: ALL or choose to display up to 10 events.
If you display a specific number of events, there will be a button that says "View More Events". This allows you to see all of the events.
8 - Click Continue.
9 - Submit for Approval, Save, Approve.
10 - Your event widget probably says, "There are no events matching the current widget settings!" The event widget will not display without events.
So now you can create your events. (Follow this tutorial). When you create events, make sure to assign them the same category as the event widget.
