Step-by-Step Instructions:
1 - Go to Publishing then Events.
**If you don't see the Events option, contact Web Services and we can give you access. **
2 - If you do not have any events created, click "Create one now!"
OR if you already created events, click "Create New Event".
3 - Title your event.
4 - Assign the same categories as you assigned to your event widget. Watch this tutorial for more information.
5 - Assign metadata - a short description of your event.
6 - Pick a start date. Indicate the duration of the event. If it's not just one day, fill in the end date.
7 - You can add an event image if you are using a featured events list.
8 - Add the time: in Military time form. It will display using the 12-hour clock. Also, fill in an end time even if your event does not have end time.
9 - Assign a location. Pick from the list provided. Click the location then click "Set location as" ______ (the location).
10 - Add a cost. If your event has no cost, write free.
11 - You must add a summary and a description. Our recommendation is adding an introduction sentence in the summary and the rest of the details in the description.
12 - When completed, submit for approval. Save. Approve.
** Make sure you click "MAKE LIVE". **
